How I work
My background spans product design, software development, UX research, and systems engineering. I enjoy working through ambiguity: understanding user pain points, mapping workflows, prototyping ideas, and building interfaces that make difficult tasks feel easier to complete.
Because I can move between research, design, and implementation, I think deeply about both the user experience and the system behind it. I care about products that are not only visually thoughtful, but also scalable, accessible, and grounded in real user needs.
I use interviews, observation, surveys, and usability testing to understand what users actually need before deciding what to build.
I translate messy workflows into user flows, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and design systems.
I bring designs into production with front-end development, component thinking, and close collaboration across engineering and product teams.
My path
I began my journey in engineering, where I learned how to break down complex problems and design systems with intention. Over time, I became increasingly drawn to the human side of technology: how people use products, where workflows break down, and how thoughtful design can make digital experiences feel more intuitive.
Today, that combination shapes how I work. I approach design as both a creative and technical practice: one that requires empathy, structure, experimentation, and a deep respect for the people using the product.
Experience
My experience includes designing and developing enterprise web applications, AI-powered tools, HCI research projects, and community-focused digital experiences. Across each role, I’ve gravitated toward work that connects strategy, usability, and implementation.
Led user research, interface design, design system thinking, and front-end development for enterprise applications using tools like React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Figma, and REST APIs.
Studying HCI methods, research, prototyping, and evaluation through projects like Spotify mobile search and Zillow collaborative apartment search.
Built a strong technical foundation through engineering coursework, robotics research, software projects, and hands-on problem solving.
I care about expanding access to STEM and design education, especially for students from underrepresented backgrounds who are still discovering what they can build.
What drives me
Beyond the screen
Outside of work, I’m interested in mentorship, community-building, couponing and mutual aid, robotics education, and helping people feel more confident navigating technology. These experiences remind me that good design is not only about polished interfaces. It is about understanding real constraints and making systems more approachable.
I’m currently open to full-time opportunities, thoughtful freelance projects, and conversations with teams building products at the intersection of UX, AI, and software engineering.
